Kendrick Lamar

For this piece I created a victory portrait of Kendrick Lamar for a Rolling Stone Magazine layout. I used my previous knowledge of Shepard Fairey’s portraiture breakdowns to influence my design process. My goal was to represent victory through the usage of laurel leaf patterning and color palette. I was awarded a first place student scholarship award from the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.
